Grzimek's Animal Life Encyclopedia is the online version of the acclaimed encyclopedia of the same name, considered to be one of the best reference works on animals ever published. Covering nearly all species, encyclopedia entries include life cycles, food systems, predators and overall ecology. With both basic and more scholarly information, it is useful for almost all levels of research.

Presents extensive data on the habitats and ecosystems of more than 1,200 species identified as endangered or threatened by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service. Arranged taxonomically, entries include introductory information with an image of the species; a summary section detailing information on each species; a concluding summary of recovery efforts; and a bibliography of contacts for further information.

Formerly known as Biography Resource Center, this database combines information from Gale's biographical reference books to provide biographies of contemporary and historical figures worldwide. In addition to biographical entries, each subject's page provides links to relevant newspaper, magazine, academic journal, web and audio content. Users may search for people by name or keyword, or browse among a selection of categories.
