Ticket to Read logo for Summer Reading Club 2025

This year's club, scheduled May 23-July 27, has blue ribbon fun for everyone

Revised

May 23, 2025

Blue ribbon fun for everyone!

The fastest way to win gift cards and toys or earn books and free food this summer? Step right up to reading! There are no hoops to jump through for admission. Starting May 23, visit any Worthington Libraries location to pick up a reading record-- or download one -- and sheet of weekly raffle tickets, and faster than you can say "fill my face with fantastic fried fair food," you're on your way!

Step right up

...and set your summer reading goal! Make it your own-- try a mix of reading, attending library programs and using library resources to learn something new. Really, you decide! For younger children, sprinkle early literacy activities in with reading and library programs.

For example, you could choose to:

  • read for 20 minutes 4 times a week
  • read a total of 6 books during the summer
  • read for 5 hours each week and attend 2 library programs

Eyes on the prize(s)

Complete your goal, update your reading record and visit the Library to turn it in. You can pick up a prize and will be entered into the Grand Champions drawing.

Complete the club and you could win a $100 VISA gift card. Prize winner names will be drawn the first week of August. Winners have two weeks to claim their prize.

Don't exit until the ride comes to a complete stop

Once you've turned in your reading record and collected your prize, vote for the library's Columbus Zoo and Aquarium sponsor animals. The choices are: Hawksbill Sea Turtle, koala, okapi, Western Lowland Gorilla. For an additional vote, take a Read On form, set a new goal and return the form when you've completed it.

This or That weekly prize drawings

Would you rather eat a funnel cake or a fried Oreo, play arcade games or ride roller coasters? Answer silly questions like these and, in return, you could win fun prizes! Pick up your ticket sheet at any library location. To participate each week, cut out the current week's ticket, fill out the contact information and take it to the library to submit your answer. No matter your answer to the This or That question, you'll be entered in the week's drawing. There will be one winner per library.

Thank you!
